#17--Seattle

Thursday morning and all is well with the world—as long as you don’t look at my hands. The rash has really done a number on them and we are hoping our internet research is correct and it’s all stress related so it would make sense I would now start to see an improvement in the next week. We looked a bit for a doctor around here but the minimum was $210 to walk in the door—and that would just stress me more!

So I’m doing my best to block all my negatives in the world and enjoying the people and places around us.

After the exciting morning yesterday our friend Deb took us down to Pike Street Marketplace and to Seattle Center. Pikes market is an amazing place of meats, produce, arts, shops, and flowers. The flowers were everywhere and the smells were incredible! We enjoyed fish & chips, calamari and saw some familiar artists. A wonderful way to spend the day, especially when someone else is driving—thank you Deb!

And then we had to go to the Seattle Space Needle, although we just looked up from below. Charging $16 a piece was more than we wanted to spend to go to the top to look down on a city—we’ll go up in the east mountains of Albuquerque and look out over that city for free! We always have enjoyed the free views more than anything else anyway.

Now we are ready to be chauffeured again to places unknown, although just riding through a city of this size is an adventure. It’s a wonderful place to visit, but give me back my woods to live in! And that seems to the agreement of the 3 of us hillbillies. We are all now starting to look forward to heading to Yellowstone the first of the week. We will stay in Seattle until probably Saturday and then pick up our trailer and head up to Kate & Deb’s mountain home east of here for the rest of the weekend.

And then we head to our next adventure.
May it only involve bears and moose….
